Soft and Cuddly

Today in the mail we received a package from Scott's aunt Genny. We opened the package to find a beautiful and SUPER soft baby blanket. Genny did a beautiful job on the blanket - it's something we'll cherish always and use all the time. The sage color looks great in the baby's room! Thanks Genny for such a wonderful, thoughtful gift.

In Progress

We're working on getting the nursery decorated - the furniture has arrived, my mom and I made curtains, bed skirt and a sheet. Up next, art for the walls. I'm debating several options so stay tuned to see which idea wins.

We also finished up the bathroom. We found a great rug and shower curtain that work with the fabric in the room!

On the Move

Sorry for the long time between posts - hasn't been too much blogworthy lately. :) I'm at 30 weeks this week and last week the doctor said our lil guy seemed to be growing right on schedule.

He's moving around a lot and he seems to be a big fan of sweet things like sweet tarts. And as you can imagine, that means he gets them whenever he (or I) wants. :)

Scott got to feel him moving the other night so that was exciting!

3D Ultrasound

This afternoon we had our long awaited 3D ultrasound! It was great to see the lil guy since it seems like it's been forever since our last sonogram.

We got a few good pictures of his face, but he was being shy for much of the time and keeping his hands and feet in his face! Here are a few of our favorites.

Babymoon

Last weekend we took a short "Babymoon" to St. Louis. We didn't have any set plans except to have dinner at an italian restaurant on the Hill Saturday night.

On Saturday we were ALL over town - you can find anything with Blackberry and a Garmin nuvi! We started the day wandering around Old Town St. Charles. There was a Tartan Festival in town which meant lots of kilts. My favorite was this guy with the ohawk, football jersey and kilt. I also liked the next guy's hat and socks - quite a combo!

Next we headed to the arch because Scott had never been there. I didn't think I would enjoy the trip to the top too much right now so we skipped that.

Then our adventure began. I entered the address that I "thought" was the Budweiser brewery into the nuvi and off we went. We stopped along the way for lunch and gelato in this cute neighborhood. Once we were back on our way we realized that I had the wrong address and we were a good 15 minutes away from the brewery. Oops - oh well, we had a good lunch. :) We finally made it to the brewery and had a great tour.

Scott the Clydesdale

My root beer and Scott's beer.

After the brewery tour we headed to a scrapbook store I found online - I found lots of cute paper that will be great for new baby pages! After that we had some time to spare before our dinner reservations so we headed to the Galleria to kill some time.
The day ended with a WONDERFUL dinner at Gian Tony's on the hill - it was amazing! Wonderful food, excellent service - the perfect end to a great day! By this time we were worn out and headed back to our hotel!
