Sickie

On Thursday afternoon, Gail said that Karsten started to feel warm - sure enough he had a fever. His mood was good - he still wanted to play and run around. Later that evening after he had been sleeping for a while, I took his temperature and it was 103! I was sooo worried - that seemed like a dangerously high temperature!

I called the doctor's office and the nurse on call got back to me quickly - apparently 103 is not worrisome, they don't even recommend you bring the child into urgent care until their temp is 105. WHAT?!!?!

So we gave him some more baby Tylenol to bring the temp down and he feel back to a semi restless sleep. In the morning his temp was down a bit but we decided to have him checked out at our dr's office's walk in hours first thing in the morning. Good thing we followed my worrying ways and took him in - poor little guy has strep. The doctor said his throat was very red.

We'll get some antibiotics in him and hope for a speedy recovery!
