18 month stats

Hard to believe Karsten is already 18 months. We went to the doctor yesterday for his regular checkup. This time he seemed to remember that this was the place he got shots last time and from the minute we took his clothes off to have him weighed until halfway through our conversation with the doctor, he was quite unhappy. Then, right after he was happy again, it was time to have his shots - lots and lots of tears. Poor baby.

The doctor said he's doing great. Right on track where he should be developmentally. I really like our doctor, Dr. Beck, she sits down and takes her time answering my questions and listening to things he is doing.

I'm so glad we had an appointment yesterday. December has been a sickly month at our house - I started the month with the stomach flu, then Scott and I both got this upper respitory thing that's going around. Karsten has had a runny nose for a few weeks now and started to develop a cough the other night. I was worried he was getting an ear infection after having a runny nose for so long - sure enough, ear infection! The medicine will get it taken care of quickly I'm sure!

His stats are:
  • Weight: 26 lbs 13oz (70th percentile)
  • Height: 33inches (75th percentile)
  • Head: 19.25inches (80th percentile)

Oh I had notice Karsten pulling at his hear but gosh you just never know. He had no fever. He ate fine and played normal. So sorry to hear that. Poor guy. Tell him I am so sorry. Have a great holiday with family.
