By the time I got home from work, Karsten and Scott were having a fun snowday. They had watched Super Why, had drawn some pictures, played cars...I was happy I could be here for the second part of the snowday.
This is what our porch looked like before we cleared a path for Madison to go outside. She stuck her nose out the door and backed up, she was not impressed with all the snow.
It was so windy we got all sorts of wierd drifts like this. There would be a clear spot next to a two foot drift.
Pictures never quite capture the snow and wind as much as I hope they will. It was snowing hard and super windy you couldn't see very far. It was a good day to be snowed in safe at home.
Karsten and I decided to build a fort. Turns out my fort building skills might be a bit rusty. I put the quilt over the kitchen chairs, then draped it on the chair. I thought this would be perfect - when I got in, I noticed the big flaw that I couldn't sit up inside the fort. Scott and I had a good laugh - Karsten was peering into the fort trying to figure out why Scott and I were laughing so hard.
If I held up the roof it worked perfectly, Karsten thought the fort was fun. I think we'll definetely build another, next time I will make sure the inside is tall enough for me to sit up in. :)
