Happy 4 Month Birthday Liam

Time is already flying by and Liam is 4 months old.  It's cliche to say it seems like he was just born yesterday, but it really does!

He is talking to us a lot more lately and the coos are getting longer.  It's like he's saying something in his own secret language.

He kicks his legs a lot when he lays on the floor and just recently he started to put a foot down and push off it.  I think he could use that technique to roll over if he tried, but he isn't trying that yet.

When he's having tummy time, he can hold himself up by resting on his arms.

He sits in the highchair with us at dinner and talks to us.  Karsten likes to have Liam RIGHT next to his chair - he is bothered that the seat of the chair isn't closer because the base of the highchair is bigger than the seat.

If he's sitting in the bouncy seat or propped against a pillow, he'll put his head forward and try to sit up.

Now that we have the formula figured out, he's having much more fun at Gail's house.

He's started to take a pacifier - he doesn't want it all the time, but he enjoys chewing on it.

He tolerates the carseat better these days.  The pacifier helps.  We still keep an ice pack in his seat to help keep him cool.  Summertime heat should be interesting!

We broke out our stash of bibs because he has started to spit up a bit more.  Not as bad as Karsten; however, it's easier to change a bib than it is to change his whole outfit!

We went to the doctor for his 4 month checkup and he was doing well.  He got a couple of shots which he didn't like, but he did great during the doctor's exam.  He weighs 17lbs 10oz which is in the 90th percentile. He's 24.25 inches tall which is in the 12th percentile.
