He's talking more and more each day and is starting to combine words - No Mommy/Daddy is one of his favorite combinations. He's also mastered the word purple - showing he's a true K-State fan! He's developing a mind of his own and will no longer go along with what Karsten is doing without question - if he doesn't agree or has his own ideas, he'll protest - typically in the form of a shriek "NOO!'. He's a good eater and sleeper - we're very thankful about both of those.
Since we're having his birthday party on Saturday, we celebrated his actual birthday with dinner at home together. When we got home, he opened his birthday present from Gail. As soon as he saw the truck, he said 'out, out, out.' and when Karsten asked if he could play with it, Liam said 'NO!' Luckly, we found another dump truck that satisfied Karsten, so all was happy and playing with their dump trucks.
He loves dessert, so he was excited when he saw the cupcakes. He blew out the candle several times because he enjoyed it so much.
We opened a couple of his presents tonight - the Thomas trains were a hit!
Karsten was waiting so patiently to get a chance to play with one of the trains.
But Liam wasn't ready to share his new toys yet. I don't blame him - I don't like to share my new toys either. :)
Happy Birthday sweet Liam. I can't wait to see what the next two years hold for you - you're going to be grown up before I know it. I don't want to blink and miss it, I want to enjoy all the tiny moments and savor our time together!
