Classic Summer

Summer couldn't come to an end before Karsten had his very first watermelon. PLUS, it's a great photo op. :) I had planned to have watermelon on the deck, but it's 100 degrees here and we didn't want to be outside any longer than necessary!

Karsten wasn't so sure what to do with the watermelon.


He kept trying to put the end of the rind in his mouth.


So Scott showed him how to take a bite of the watermelon.




Then he started to get the hang of taking bites of it.


But he still kept trying to eat the rind.


So eventually Scott helped him by holding the watermelon so Karsten could take a bite.


But then the piece broke so both Karsten and Scott had their own piece.




Look like he's not so sure about this....


Okay, just a few more bites.


After he took another bite from the watermelon, he threw it on the floor. This is the look we got after we scolded him.
