What Liam eats

I think I've mentioned in the past that we're making Liam's babyfood.  We did the same for Karsten and surprisingly, it was far easier than we expected.  Basically, we cook fruits and veggies, puree them, then freeze them into little cubes that we can defrost as needed for meals.

I think we're advancing through solid foods a bit more quickly with Liam than we did with Karsten.  I'd like to think it's because we're diligently introducing a new food every three to four days.  In actuality, we worked our way through the standard fruits and veggies and have started introducing little pieces of whatever we're eating.  I think you could call it laziness .  We started this trend with hamburger - we cut it up into tiny pieces and gave it to him.  At first he wasn't sure what to do with the texture, but he quickly got used to it.

I think we're a few months ahead of when we did this for Karsten, but we're trying to have Liam eat many of the same things we eat at dinner.  Sure, there are nights when it's not suitable for him and we'll break out the standard frozen fruit or veggie and rice cereal staples.

Tonight I thought dinner looked especially colorful.  We had salmon (cut into tiny pieces for Liam), cous cous (he could eat it as is) and summer squash (in a chunky puree) and peaches (not pictured - cut into tiny pieces for Liam).
