About 5 minutes later, he said (with a quivering lip) 'I was a little bit bad today.' Then he told us a story about how one of his friends threw soap at him in the bathroom, so he threw soap at him and another boy. He was almost in tears when he told us that his teacher said she was disappointed in him. He said he needed to take soap to school tomorrow, and we're not sure if she told him that or if he wanted to bring it.
So, Karsten and Scott ran up to Walgreens after dinner and bought some soap. Karsten had to use one of his dollars to pay for the soap. This was huge for him because he's just discovered that dollars can buy things like Legos. Then when he got home, he had to write her an apology note.

We reiterated several times that we were proud of him for telling us. Hopefully he'll continue to tell us stuff like this.

Good luck! I hope he does too. They quickly find out if you're not up at school picking them up, they can hide things from you. It took Tyler one week to figure that out. That is why I am VERY visible on Fridays, walking up to all teachers and saying hello!
