Ready or not - Kindergarten

Karsten's first day of school is coming up in mid-August.  His school has done a great job welcoming the new families and helping us understand what to expect.

Tonight there was an ice cream social and our host families were there to greet us, take us on a tour and make us feel welcome. One of their son's will be in kindergarten as well, so it was nice for Karsten to meet another student.

We weren't sure if he would find out who his teacher was tonight, so we were excited when the principal announced that as part of the tour, we got to look in the classrooms and find their names on the desks.

I'm excited for Karsten - I know he's ready and is going to have a great time at school.  I just can't believe it's time.
