Once we found seats, I decided that I should try and use manual settings on my camera so I didn't end up with a bunch of super bright photos due to the lights in the gym. I took a bunch of test shots with different settings, and Liam was a willing subject...for a few minutes. I ended up deciding to shoot both manual and automatic because I was worried I would end up with blurry photos!
Why does he look so grown up, can someone please make time slow down? Isn't his shirt cute, the first grade class was supposed to decorate themselves like trees. Thankfully my mom had a great idea and made this adorable shirt. Liam got a matching one as well.
Karsten drew us a detailed map of where he would enter the gym and where he would stand on the risers. The entry party wasn't correct, but his riser diagram was accurate, so we had a pretty good view of him.
All of the classes did a great job, all of Karsten's songs were related to Christmas trees, thus the shirts.
The kids did a great job with all of the motions - you could tell they've been practicing a lot!
For your enjoyment, here's a video of one of the songs.
The Kindergarten, first and second graders all sang Jingle Bells together to close out the show - it was a great program! Father Pat and Father Dan both attended and were front and center to help cheer the kids on - I know the kids enjoyed seeing them there!
