Playing outside

It was so beautiful on Sunday that we wanted to spend a little time together outside. We had dinner theather that night and Karsten needed to take a nap before we left, so we had a small window of time. We sat on the front porch for a bit - Karsten loves to watch the cars go by.

A few of the flowers in the front yard are blooming so we tried to sit him in the grass in front of the flowers to get a picture. As soon as we sat him in the grass he put his hands in the grass then started to cry. He was NOT a fan of the grass. It sounds like he wasn't too happy when he sat in the grass at daycare today, so he may have inherited some of my dislike of the great outdoors. I'm sure he'll learn to love it - he has lots of mowing and playing in the dirt and grass in his future.

I tried to get him to wear his shades to keep the sun out of his eyes but he was having none of it. He still looked pretty cute with them on his head.

Who knew the lid of bottles provided endless fun.

Socks also offer neverending fun. If we put him in his carseat with socks on it's a guarantee that socks will NOT be on his feet when we arrive at our destination.

This vacant stare told us it was time for a nap!
