That Crafty Bunny

I always wanted to make a taggie type blanket for Karsten but never got around to it.  So, I was determined to either buy or make one for Liam.  I searched Etsy and looked at the real Taggie blankets but didn't find anything I loved or was willing to pay that much.

So, I enlisted my mom's help finding the perfect fabric and got a quick tutorial on how I should create the blanket. Saturday afternoon, both boys were napping at the same time (gotta love that!) so I got to work.

Gathered all of my supplies.  Luckily we had a lot of ribbon on hand between scrapbooking and the ribbon I bought when we were doing both Karsten and Liam's rooms.

I just love ribbon.  LOVE!

Then I pinned all of the ribbon on the blanket and got sewing!  Now, I haven't TOUCHED my sewing machine for about 3 years, since before Karsten was born.  I was a bit rusty, but I could still sew a (relatively) straight line.

VOILA! The completed project.  I'm pretty happy with the result.  I would snuggle up with it and take a nap!  This fabric is seriously cuddly and soft.
