Mommy, look what I learned...

After Gail's foot surgery, her sister Carol came to stay for a few weeks to help Gail with the kiddos.  The kids had a great time with her, especially the babies!  One morning while we were getting ready to leave our house, I told Karsten to go grab his shoes and I would put them on him.  He said, 'I can do it, Carol show me how.'

So he got his sandals, undid the velcro and put them on his feet.  He talked himself through it like he must have seen and heard Carol do.  He even put the correct shoe on each foot.  WOO HOO - I was so excited and proud of him.  Huge thank you to Carol and Gail - teaching him to put his own shoes on hadn't even crossed my mind yet.  JEEZ Lisa. I'm thankful we have such a wonderful 'village' to help us raise these little ones - cause it really does take a village.  :)

Thankfully I thought to grab the camera so I was able to take pictures of  him putting his shoes on.

I love the amused expression on his face - I think he's trying to figure out why I'm cheering and so excited for him.
