Snowy fun

We told the boys we would play in the snow when we got home from church, and were surprised to see that snow was already melting at that time.  We had planned to go to the park, but with the melting and other sledders, the snow was mostly gone on the hill.

Luckily, there was still snow left in our backyard - enough for sledding.

This sledding 'run' is a bit treacherous because there is a tree in the path that they have to swerve to miss.  Liam wasn't sure he wanted to give it a try.

When Karsten finally talked him into it, I got concerned when they got off to a crooked start from the beginning.

This is Karsten trying to correct and save the ride.  Sadly it didn't work and they crashed into the tree with a glancing blow.  Liam was pretty upset but not hurt, thank goodness. We decided this was the last time for this sledding route.

His smile came back quickly after the crash.

Karsten and I decided to try sledding down another hill in our backyard.

We also started off going in the wrong direction and ran into the fence with my feet.  Luckily, no one was hurt, all was well!

While we were sledding, Liam set to work on cleaning off all the rocks 'for me' he said.

Playing in the snow is so much fun!

I'm glad the boys love the snow as much as I do!  Now, I just wish we had gotten more snow this year!
