A Day at the K

We headed out to the K for our first Royals game of the season.  We were meeting some of Scott's coworkers to tailgate and enjoy the game.

As soon as we finished eating, the boys were ready to go into the stadium.  They were worried we were going to miss the game!

We had plenty of time to walk around in the stadium before the game began.

The boys wanted to go all the way down to the field, but we weren't able to get quite that close!

The fountains are always fun to watch, and if you get sprayed a little, it just cools you off!

Even though Slugger wasn't real, Liam still didn't want to get too close to him!  Karsten was excited to see the Slugger sign and rushed over to have his photo taken - I didn't even have to ask him!

Karsten was so excited for the game to begin.

Such a fun, family day at the K!  The game started strong, but then the Braves made a comeback that tied the game in the 9th inning.

We hung in there until the top of the 13th inning.  Liam was ready to go at the bottom of the 9th, but Karsten wanted to stay until the end.  We should have stuck it out for one more inning, because the Royals won it in the bottom of the 13th!
