Last Day of School

I know it's cliche, but I seriously can't believe the school year is already over.  Karsten is done with kindergarten - this means we have a first grader!  Liam is done with his three year preschool and will be in PreK next year.

I'm so proud of him, he's done a great job this year.  He's learned so much, made lots of friends and has done a great job.  He received all pluses on his final report card of the year and was excited to collect his payment for a great reportcard (a dime for every plus).

Seems like just yesterday we were taking the first day of school photo.  Time flies when you're having fun!

I'm also so thankful for all of the great friends he's made this year.  He went into Kindergarten knowing two other boys, and this year he's gotten to know those two boys much better and made many other friends.  I can't wait to watch these little guys grow up over the next several years.

The community has been so welcoming this year, it's been great to meet all of these moms and feel like part of the community.  I love knowing the families of all his friends!

Singing an end of the year song together - not sure where all the girls left, suddenly we only had boys in the circle.

And this cutie had a great year as well.  He had a big transition going from the small, loving environment at Gail's home to a bigger, yet still loving environment at his preschool.  He really connected with his teacher, Ms Patty, and we're so thankful for her helping him learn and grow this year.  He's going to miss her this summer, but luckily, she only lives a few doors away, so we should see her a few times. :)

He was so brave on his first day - I remember being so worried how he was going to react, but he surprised me and did outstanding.

Sad to see another school year go by, but I'm looking forward to a summer full of fun with these cuties.
