Teef
Today Karsten had an appointment for his very first dental checkup. He enjoys brushing his 'teef' especially if he gets dip (aka toothpaste) for his toothbrush. We had a made an appointment at a pediatric dentist and weren't really sure what to expect. I was thrilled with the service, atmosphere, staff...everything! Karsten got to brush the teeth of this stuffed dragon.
The hygenist tried to get Karsten to open his mouth so she could count his teeth - nope, he was having none of that!
More teeth brushing. He asked for dip for the dragon, but too bad, we didn't have any with us.
I love how he's making a face in this one like he's trying to get the dragon to do what he's doing.
They had green balloons for St. Patrick's day and it had a duck as the weight on the balloon. Apparently the duck neeeded to have his teeth brushed as well!
Then the doctor came in to look at Karsten's teeth. He managed to look at Karsten's teeth and confirmed that Karsten has two of his two year molars, so he only needs two more teeth then he will have all of his baby teeth that he'll have until he turns six! We had wondered if Karsten was getting his molars but he doesn't like us to feel or look in his mouth.
Since Karsten did so well, he got to choose a toy from the toy machine. He chose a bouncy ball.
And then he got ice cream with green sprinkles! What a great end to a dentist appointment.
He got a fun certificate as a momento of his first dental visit. We'll be going back this fall, hopefully he'll do just as well!
