Jenn and David invited us over for a BBQ and to go see the fireworks. After a yummy dinner and hanging out playing for a while, we headed out to go watch fireworks. We tried again to get a group picture - someday we are going to accomplish a smiling picture of all 3 (soon to be 4 kiddos). They might be in high school, but we'll get it. :)

Since we got there about an hour before fireworks were scheduled to start, Jenn planned ahead with a craft to keep the kids busy. The crafting part kept Jenn busy but the kids LOVED the end result. Pretty smart of her - thank goodness she was thinking ahead!!!
Check out the cool craft - the kids loved their hats!

How cute are they? Once Karsten saw Eden's flower wand, he wanted a wand as well, so Jenn made him a star wand. He clutched the little wand in his hand for most of the evening!

The kids were entertaining the people behind us with their hats and playing. Karsten kept going over to look at the flag so the lady let him take it out of the ground and wave it around for a few minutes.

As if Jenn's cool craft wasn't enough to win 'mom of the year', she brought glow sticks for the kids to play with when it got dark. Karsten and Eden both made snakes which entertained them until the fireworks started (and all the way home!).

Time for a quick family picture - ignore that star wand in my face. :)

Time to refuel before fireworks.
