Touch-a-Truck

We finished off our great weekend by picking Karsten up from Grandma and Grandpa's and taking him to the Touch-a-Truck show where a bunch of companies bring their huge trucks and kids can climb all over them and touch them. Since Karsten gets so excited to see all of the tractors in a construction zone we drive by everyday and his friends at Gail's love trash trucks, we knew we had to go.

I can't resist photos of them walking, holding hands. And yes, they are dressed almost alike. :)

As soon as we left the parking garage, we saw this big green Carter's energy truck. Karsten said "Big one truck - green!".

Figuring out how to honk the horn.

So many buttons to discover and push!

Right next to the Carter's Energy truck were two huge tractors. Karsten was so excited!

Watching the tractors in awe as we waited for our turn in the tractor.

Can you tell he's having fun?

As soon as we walked into the exhibit hall Karsten immediately saw the trash truck and wanted to go see it first. While I waited in line, Scott and Karsten climbed all over it and checked out the truck.

Driving the trash truck

After the trash truck we were going to head over and see the combine. When we saw the long line, we decided we'd skip the combine and check out a combine next time we visit Grandma and Grandpa.

Riding the police motorcycle - the officer even showed him how to turn on the lights. Karsten thought that was pretty cool.

Then we were onto the firetruck - they had the front seat roped off but the kids could climb all over in the back. There were plenty of buttons to push and things to check out.

Children's Mercy brought one of their ambulance's for display. Let's hope this is the only time that Karsten is in one of these!

Having fun in the cab of the Children's Mercy ambulance.

Touch-a-Truck was a success in our book. We left with a happy, tired boy. Huge thank you to the organizers - we can't wait to come back next year and check out the trucks again!
