Happy 80th Birthday

Karsten and Scott had their first father-son road trip.  We traveled to Iowa for Scott's grandma's 80th birthday.  With Liam being just 3 weeks old, we decided it probably would be best if Lisa stayed home with Liam.

To start the trip, Karsten found our elf "Jingle Bells" in the car and was excited that he would be joining them on the trip.

Great-Grandma and Karsten.  As soon as Karsten walked into the room, he began talking and taking in all of the excitement.

While we had the family there, we had the opportunity to celebrate Taylor's birthday.  Karsten really liked the ice cream cake.

Karsten and grandma getting a much needed hug.  As you can tell in Karsten's eyes, he was getting very tired.  This is what you get when you skip a nap the day before and play with your cousins all day/

Happy Birthday Grandma W.  Prior to the open house, the family got together for a family dinner.  The community center had to be rented out.  When you get the kids, grand kids, and great grand kids together, the house just was not big enough. The cake and cupcakes looked great and tasted very good.

Grandma's 4 kids.  Donny, DeLoris, Jan, and Linda.  They decided to stand according to their height.

Kids and spouses

Grand kids (missing 2).  It just seems like yesterday when we were playing in the basement of grandma's house.

Grand kids and their spouses.  Lisa's missing. :(

The Great grand kids.  I really don't know how we were able to get all of them standing in one spot.  All it took to get Karsten to stand there was some candy.  As soon as the picture was finished be came running to me and asked for the candy he was promised.

It was a great weekend and a great birthday celebration!  Happy 80th Birthday Grandma!
