Mother's Day Brunch

Mother's Day started off great with the boys giving me picture frames they had painted that said 'I love you' with their name.  So cute - I can't track down a picture of them now, so I'll take one at work and post it later.

Then, the Mother's Day fun continued with brunch with my parents.  Karsten and my mom drew and played connect the dots while we waited for our food to arrive.

Liam was ready to eat so he started with a muffin while we waited for the rest of our food.

Checking out the menu with Papa.  I love how his arm is on the back of the highchair like he's just chillin'

On the way back to the car, Karsten picked this dandelion for me - he said I deserved a flower since it was my special day.  How sweet is that?

After brunch we headed to church, then back to my parents house for some pictures.  This isn't a great picture of Karsten; however, it made me do a double take because he looked so grown up. He's gotten so tall and is becoming such the little boy.  Where did my baby go?

I took a slew of pictures of my parents with the boys and I think this was one of the first ones.  Can you believe it - everyone is looking at the camera AND smiling!  SUCCESS!

And since it's mother's day, we needed pictures of the boys with my mom.

And let's pretend that Liam is laughing in this picture and not screeching to get away from taking a picture.

This is better, and we even have Mario, Luigi and the Koopa Trooper in the pictures!  Someday it will be fun to look back and remember how Mario and Luigi went everywhere with us!

And we tried a group shot but unfortunately, the boys were done with pictures by this time so this was the best we got.

My mom and I - I love this picture!

We played outside for a bit, then Scott and I went to run some errands while the boys stayed and played with my parents.

Liam spotted several ants and Karsten wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

One last picture attempt.

Awwww

I just really like this picture.

Liam loves to play ball!

Then he got sidetracked by the ants again. Notice he's laying on the ball so Karsten couldn't get it.

When the ball accidently hit the tree, a new game was born and Karsten tried to see how high he could throw the ball into the tree.  There's such determination on his face!
