Beach Pictures

A couple of weeks ago we went to Gulf Shores, Alabama on vacation.  I'm almost done sorting through the pictures, and I'll get vacation blogged shortly.  We had family pictures taken on the beach while we were there, and I just received the CD of photos in the mail!

The day we had photos, it rained until 30 minutes before our session.  I was SO nervous and you can tell how humid it was by looking at my hair in some of the photos!

Shortly after it stopped raining, a rainbow appeared.

Then as we were admiring the first rainbow, a second one appeared!

After our photographer arrived, we headed out to the beach.  Would you believe this was one of the first pictures?  Mission accomplished with a great family picture!  I think I may skip the stress of a family picture in the fall and use this on the Christmas card - so, forget you saw this so you're surprised when you get your Christmas card.  Okay?

Me and my boys - love it!

All my boys!

I knew that smiles would be a challenge, so I picked up a couple of incentives to show them before the session so they would be encouraged to smile. This was the first one with just the boys and it made me nervous.

I see pure mischief in Liam's expression - what do you think?

I wonder what Karsten was telling him?

I love this - he looks so grown up!

What a happy little guy!

What a cheese ball

The lifted shirt initially annoyed me in this picture, but then I realized that it captures his personality perfectly.

Another great family shot!

I love this pose

Liam resting his head on Scott's head cracks me up - photos apparently wear him out!

This photo cracks me up - Scott and Liam are playing, Karsten 'thinks' he is smiling, and I'm smiling in case she is able to capture a fleeting moment when everyone is smiling.

Arghh - so close another great family shot!

Then the boys got a brief break while the photographer got some shots of Scott and I.

The boys had fun playing with this sailboat the photographer brought with her.

Then we headed back to the boardwalk to get a few pics before we called it a night.

I think Karsten was done taking pictures, do you agree?

I love pictures of them holding hands!

Now I have to figure out which ones of these I'm going to print and where I'll hang them in our house.  Which ones are your favs?
