Scott had a conference to go to this morning, so the boys and I were on our own. We had a leisurely morning and didn't get out of our PJs until almost noon - that's a good day in my book!
We like baking together, so we made some cheese crackers I've been wanting to try. I didn't have a cute goldfish cookie cutter, the closest I got was a music note, and it wasn't working too well, so we defaulted to squares. I had some pretty good helpers.
The end result was pretty tasty - the boys gave them two thumbs up. When Scott home, he said they weren't crispy enough to be called crackers, so I'll try to roll them thinner next time to crisp them up more.
We watched a new Easter movie that Gaga sent to the boys this week - it was pretty cute, and rainy Saturdays are perfect for a movie. After the movie we got dressed and had some lunch.
We had planned to go to the park and play since it wasn't raining when we went to get dressed, but when we were ready, it was raining again. So, we found some Easter coloring pages online and decided to color. The art boxes my dad made the boys for Christmas have really come in handy - they're loaded with their own crayons, markers, colored pencils, scissors, glue and other treasures. They have mostly stopped the arguements about someone using someone elses supplies.
I even got in on the coloring - my mom gave me two adult coloring books for Christmas and I haven't spent as much time coloring as I would like. All of those little squares are going to take me a long time! I'm going to have to find somewhere to display this masterpiece when (or if) it is finished.
My coloring partners - so much fun!
I'm not really sure about the details of their next activity - they seemed to have a good grasp of it, but I was a bit confused. There were dinosaurs stuck on the construction site but the tick tock croc and the tractor were helping them - clear as mud, right?
