Better with dip

I've mentioned before that Karsten loves to help Scott cook dinner. When Karsten and I got home from work tonight, Scott was getting ready to make the 'frosting' (aka glaze) for the meatloaf. Karsten tried Ketchup on his hamburger for the first time this weekend and as soon as he saw the Ketchup bottle (for the frosting) he wanted some.

When Karsten has dip, he only eats the dip, not the item he is dipping. For example, he repeatedly dipped the hamburger in Ketchup and then licked Ketchup off one piece of hamburger until all of the Ketchup on his plate was gone.

Scott was trying to get Karsten to help him stir, but Karsten just wanted to dip his spoon in the Ketchup then lick it off.

When Scott added the brown sugar to the Ketchup, Karsten quickly reached in and grabbed some and put it in his mouth before Scott could stop him. I don't think he was expecting the taste of brown sugar, I just caught the end of the funny face he made.

Lucky me - I have two chefs in the house!
