Ringing in the new year

We invited Jenn, David, Eden and Elam over to celebrate New Years Eve with us. We had spent the day running around getting odds and ends done, and Karsten did great. He was excited to get back home and after a nap, he was ready for his friends to come over and play.

Hanging out playing with one of his new cars.

Eden eating dinner - we had appetizers for dinner. It's the kind of meal you always want to make but you always talk yourself out of. We decided New Years Eve was the perfect time to have little smokies and meatballs, spinach artichoke dip, cheeseburger dip and blue cheese dip. We had broccoli and jello salad for the kiddos to make the meal a bit more healthy. :)

Eden was reading Karsten a story. Okok, Eden was reading a story and we plopped Karsten next to her because we knew it would be a cute photo opp.

Elam knew we had lots of fun planned for after the kiddos went to bed and he didn't want to miss out, so he decided to stay up and ring in the new year with us. Look at him eyeing his mom's apple cider.

Scott got Wii Sports Resort for Christmas so we all had fun trying out all of the new games.

Look at that little smirk - I'm pretty sure he's saying "Happy New Year!"

Cheers - Happy New Year everyone!

Elam is still going strong right after midnight. He crashed shortly after this picture was taken.

It seems like we were just celebrating New Years Eve 1999, or any other year before that. Where has time gone?

Little Elam all bundled up to go home - he woke up as Jenn was getting him buckled into the carseat.

2010 was a wonderful year for us and we can't wait to see what 2011 holds for our family. I hope for good health and happiness for you and yours.
