Monday Funday

Just an average Monday evening at our house - dinner, then lots of fun playing.  Liam still tries to snatch silverware from the dishwasher while we're loading it, so we try distracting him with a wooden spoon.  Sometimes it works better than others - lucky for me, it worked tonight!

Amazing what fun a simple spoon can provide.




While Liam played with the spoon, Karsten was flying around the Pterodactyl that he made at Gail's.  It's dinosaur month for preschool, so he's learning about all sorts of dinosaurs this month, and as you know, he's a huge fan of dinosaurs so he is loving it.


The Pterodactyl was chasing Liam around - he's so funny when he gets to walking fast.  He puts his head forward, shoulders back and off he goes!


It looks like the Pterodactyl is no longer chasing Liam, rather racing him.  See Karsten try to block Liam to get in front of him?  As a side note, don't you love their valentine shirts - I think this new design from my mom is super cute!  Love matching brother outfits! :)


We were playing with puzzles when I remembered the gears that we got Karsten for Christmas.  In all of the hubbub, they didn't see much action.  We gave them a try tonight and he got the hang of putting the gears in positions where they would turn the other gears.  I was impressed because my spacial reasoning doesn't always allow me to do that the first time!




Thomas and Percy kept Liam entertained since Karsten would not let him anywhere near his gears!
