Christmas Party

I love going to class parties at Karsten's school, and since Scott had a snow day today, he was able to attend as well!  When we arrived, the kids were listening to a story about Christmas.

They sang a few songs for us and did a little skit where they acted like reindeer.  This is all of the reindeer sleeping.

Karsten's teachers (all three of them) are fantastic, we're so lucky to have them teaching him and his friends.  The teachers got each of the kids a little snowman and a book - and to help reinforce the left and right that they were learning, the teacher read 'The Night Before Christmas' and each time she said left or right, they had to pass a package to their neighbor on their left or right.  Pretty smart.

Next up - the food!  We brought white chocolate dipped oreo cookies decorated like snowman faces.  They had all sorts of goodies to enjoy!

When I got home from work that evening, Karsten helped us open the present he made for us - a snowman ornament stuffed with marshmellows. Scott asked Karsten if we were supposed to break the snowman ornament in case of an emergency marshmellow shortage - NOOOO dadddyyyy! was the answer, in case you were curious.  :)
