We packed a picnic for dinner and off we went. As soon as we walked into the rows, the boys kept saying 'OO, look at that big one' or 'OO, a red one.' Admitedly, I was saying the same thing as we walked down the row to where we were supposed to go.

Karsten asked if he could eat this one if he took a picture for me. Do you like the backwards t-shirt? It was backwards day at school.

He was way more excited about this oddly shaped strawberry than it looks here.

Liam tried to pick a strawberry but the top didn't come off with the berry on his first attempt. So, he decided that he didn't know how and then he was content to point out the red ones for me to pick. On one hand, this worked out well because he didn't eat too many, on the other hand, the people around us may have gotten tired of hearing 'hey mommy, hey mommy, I found one.'

There were lots of big ripe berries to be picked. We decided we were done, then we kept finding big, juicy berries that were calling our name!

While we were waiting in line to pay, we ran into Gail. The boys were excited to see her and all of the strawberries she picked. She came to pick with her friend and neighbor, Beth, who also runs an in home daycare. Liam wanted to know where all of Beth's kids were!

The boys were ready to eat all of the berries we picked. We thought of a long list of things to make on our drive home - strawberry muffins, strawberry ice cream, strawberry pie, strawberry margaritas (that was mine), strawberry mojitos (that was Scott's). I think we'll make lots of yummy things!
