Finally, we were on the road! We are headed to Linda and Leland's house tonight!

Gaga sent this Richard Scary book to Karsten for his birthday and he had so much fun looking at all of the funny vehicles in the book. He saw a pickle car, a cow car and so many more.

We made a quick stop in Manhattan because we wanted to see the water level at Tuttle Creek. When we were getting a lot of rain, Scott was watching the Facebook page of Tuttle Creeek as the reservoir filled up and it looked like they may have to open the flood gates if the rain continued. Since the rain and storms subsided, the water levels were back to a more normal range.

Before we went to Tuttle Creek, we made a quick stop at a convenience store to go to the bathroom. I always feel like we should buy something if we use the restroom, so we bought a bag of Skittles for a snack on our drive. The boys thought we should have them immediately, but we said we would waiting until after we saw the water. Shortly after our first glimpse of the water, Liam asked for Skittles and we told him 'not yet'. He wasn't happy with that answer and said 'God says, when you see water, you get Skittles.'. LOL - he says things like this a lot, he seems to get a lot of messages from God that favor his goal.

We got to Linda and Leland's in time for dinner, then played baseball outside for a bit. Liam wasn't going to be our friend anymore when he wasn't able to hit the ball. He may be a bit stubborn...and dramatic like his brother. ;)

As soon as Leland sat on the tailgate of his truck, Karsten climbed up next to him, then Liam joined the party.

Although the boys were adamant that they were not tired and wanted to play more, it was time for baths and bed. Grandma read them books and then off to bed they went with promises to wake up as soon as they smelled Grandma's coffee brewing bright and early in the morning!
