Batter up - Taylor!

After church, we headed to Topeka to have pizza with Kelli, Taylor, Linda and Leland.  We were also celebrating Karsten's birthday since Linda and Leland were not able to make it back to KC for his birthday party.

Can you tell Karsten was excited to open his Mario and Luigi race cars?

And a Mario shirt?  What more could a guy want?  MARIO PAJAMAS!  Hopefully he'll always be this excited to receive clothing for his birthday!

He wasn't willing to let anyone else play with the cars at first, but then he decided he could share with Taylor.

A smiling Liam even though he couldn't play with the race cars!

Luckily I had a truck in the diaper bag that he was content to play with.

We were the only ones in the restaurant, so he was able to hop and off the booth next to our table.  Can you tell he was having fun?

Next we headed to the ball fields for Tyler's baseball game.  We had some time before the game started so we played at the adjoining park for a while.

Liam had never been on a tetter totter before.  He was a bit hesitant at first, but he let Papa move him up and down for a while while holding on tightly.

I thought this spaceship slide was pretty cool, so you'll see a lot of pictures of it.

Liam thought the baby swings were a bit too rickety for him, so he opted to swing with Papa instead.

Check out those socks - Karsten chose them special for Taylor's baseball game.  He didn't have baseball socks so he decided football socks would do.

Ta-Da!

I told you I liked this slide!

So much fun swinging with Papa!

Then it was game time!  Taylor told Scott he was going to hit a home run for his birthday and sure enough, he did!

His position is catcher.  Kelli pointed out that he learned a few new skills while watching the catcher at the T-Bones game on Friday night.

Looks pretty official to me!

Watching Taylor's team win was the perfect end to our baseball filled weekend!
