Little Liam

Liam is losing that baby look and behavior and starts acting more like a toddler all the time.  Those of you who are parents know this brings both positives and negatives.  Speech therapy is going fantastic and he not only is saying more words but he's using sounds to mimic what we say.  It may not be exactly what we say, but he mimics our intonation and makes a sound the same syllable.

We wondered how we would do without Karsten being with him at Gail's everyday.  He seems to be doing great and having fun playing with his little friend Quinton.  I think he may actually start talking more at Gail's as well since Karsten and Quinton's older brother are not going to be there to speak for their little brothers.

So far, his words are: Daddy, Mommy (FINALLY!), hi, bye, thanks, up, a host of animal sounds (pig, horse, cow, elephant, dog, cat), sorry, help, baby, me, mine, eeeee for monkey, t sound for truck, a sound combination that we attribute to Karsten, and a few others that I'm forgetting.

Karsten likes to ask Liam if he can say words, then he will say "MOM - DID YOU HEAR HIM, I TAUGHT HIM WORDS!"

This trick of walking down the stairs and not scooting on his bottom is also new.  It makes me nervous, but so far so good, he 'usually' holds onto the railing.
