Road trip, part 2

On Friday, I took Liam to the doctor because I thought he had an ear infection.  He had told Gail and us that his ear hurt (consistently the right side) and was waking up at night (which he rarely does).  I thought it would be wise to have him checked before we left town.  Turns out both ears were inflamed, but not to the point where she would typically prescribe antibiotics.  Since we were heading out of town, she gave us a prescription to fill in case it got worse.

On Saturday, we used the numbing drops in his ears, but he was still poking his ears and saying oww. He had also started a nasty cough. So, on the way to Dave's house, we stopped and filled the antiobiotic.  I love that it was just as easy to fill the prescription at Walgreens in Lincoln as it is at home.

Ever since we told Karsten that we were going to see everyone, he asked if he could take Candyland to play with Brett and Cami.  As soon as we got there, he asked Cami to play.

Grandma had more toys packed to distract the boys - they LOVE puzzles, so these were a big hit!

Serious Candyland business!

Brett and I were chatting in the kitchen when I realized it had gotten quiet.  The boys were sitting on the sofa reading their books that Grandma brought them.  I wasn't quick enough to snap the picture, Liam was on the move again.

It was a quick visit, but fun to catch up with everyone!
