Sunflowers Round 2

We really enjoyed our first visit to the sunflowers, and I had my heart set on a picture of the boys in the sunflowers, so we set out for a quick visit tonight.

We went further down the road in the hidden field and found an area that was shaded by trees and had great light.

I told the boys if they would take two pictures for me they could run and play all they wanted.  This was the very first picture I took - the sunflower is a bit too close to Liam's face but otherwise, I'm calling this a success!

Liam's obviously too cool to smile - little stinker.

Can you tell it's football season? Two ladies took pity on our discussion about how to take a family selfie and took this for us.

The boys thought it was cool that they got to be taller than the sunflowers.

'Why no open' said Liam?

Off they go to explore the rows of sunflowers!

I just couldn't stop taking pictures, they are just beautiful!

Scott showed Liam the bugs that were on the flowers - it was interesting that there were far more bugs in the sunflowers this time around.

Are you tired of sunflower pics yet?

Until next year sunflowers!

And since I really wanted sunflower pictures, I 'may' have promised ice cream if they smiled for me. :)  Positive reinforcement, right?
