Forever Royal!

With all the rainy weather we've had lately, we were nervous that it would be a rainy night at the Royal's game tonight.  It rained earlier today, but we lucked out and it ended up being a beautiful night.   We got tickets from our financial advisor, they were having an event for all their customers in the KC area.

They had a BBQ dinner before the game and Slugger was even hanging out around the food tent so Karsten got to have his picture taken with him.  Liam saw Slugger and immediately wanted Scott to pick him up and hold him tight.  Slugger had a bunch of people crowded around waiting for photos, and he did a great job of picking the kids out of the crowd so they didn't have to wait as long as the adults.  Very nice since many of the adults were pushing forward to try and get ahead.

One last photo on our way into the stadium  - enjoying their sugar cookies.

Two excited boys ready to watch the Royals win!

Just killing some time before the game starts.

Karsten brought his glove to the game so he could  be ready to catch any balls that came his way.

When Karsten and Scott went to the restroom, Liam was in charge of the baseball glove and he diligently watched for any balls that may come his way.

At the top of the 4th inning, the boys were getting antsy, so we went for a walk around the stadium.

A group shot on our walk around the stadium.

And in a huge coincidence, my boss was also at the game and ended up sitting in the row in front of us several seats away.  She snapped this photo for us!

At the top of the 7th, the boys were done watching the game and were playing games on our phones.  We decided to hit the road since it was already past bedtimes and the drive home would take a while. It took about half the drive home before they relaxed and were able to fall asleep.  Thank goodness we left when we did, the game had a rain delay at the top of the 8th inning, then they eventually called the game.
