Summer has arrived

The weather has been unseasonably cool for early summer, so we haven't been to the pool yet.  This weekend it finally started to feel like the hot, humid summer that we're used to.  Karsten asked if we could go to the pool after church and we thought it seemed like a great idea.


I wasn't confident that the water would be warm, so I didn't wear my suit and get in the water.  Big mistake - it was HOT sitting by the side of the pool.  The bonus of not being in the pool was that I could take pictures.


Liam is always up for a selfie with me.


Karsten is getting braver and more comfortable in the water.  He ditched his life vest this summer, but he's still not swimming quite as well as we see other kids his age swimming.  I think the boys going to the pool this summer will give him the comfort he needs to practice his swimming.
