We headed to the City Market on Saturday morning to get some fresh veggies. We had to go to Scott's work to pick up the dehydrator I ordered, so it worked perfectly to stop along the way. No trip to the City Market is complete without a stop to see the giant wheel. Someday we'll have to actually visit the museum about the boat the wheel came from.
We promised Karsten if he was good at the market and lunch, we could get a balloon animal. This guy was a missionary and told us a story about how dinosaurs were on Noah's arc while he made the boys dinosaurs. Pretty impressive that he could relate a bible story to all of the balloons that he makes!
The dinosaurs had a pseudo leash which made it easy for the boys to walk them around.
Trying to get them to pose for a picture was a futile attempt, so I only tried a few times.
Once we got home and put the boys to bed for their naps, we got out the dehydrator and got started! In our first batch we made bananas and peaches. We think the bananas could go a bit longer because they were still a bit squishy in the middle.

The next day we made more peaches, tomatoes and peach fruit leather. The tomatoes were so flavorful once dried and the fruit leather turned out great! Again, we think it could have dried a bit longer, so we'll let the next one go longer.

The boys had some quiet time playing the iPad. Karsten actually let Liam play the iPad with him. A fleeting moment of sharing. :)
"Here Liam, this is how you do it."
We had lots of time to play and have fun. Karsten pretended he was camping and the balls were his blankets.

Who can tell me what our table is missing? Did you guess a highchair? You're right! Liam has been eating at the table at Gail's and we had removed his tray so he was eating at the table already. It seemed like a good time to make the leap to a booster seat. So far so good!
