We're seeing already that you have to ask the correct questions in order to get information about his day. We try a variety of probing questions and we think we (eventually) get a pretty good picture of his day. It's been fun to have him teach us songs he has learned or get insight into how the teacher gets a class of ten four year olds to listen to her. For example, she says 'Class, Class' and they say 'Yes, Yes' and then they're supposed to be quiet. Or, if she asks them to show her their quiet sign, they'll put their finger to their lips (like they're saying shhh).
We're settling into the new routine that comes along with school. One day last week I made it all the way to work before I realized that my laptop was still at home...arghhh! But the good news is Karsten had his bag and his breakfast. :) We now have a checklist that I can run through before I leave the house! Packing lunches (breakfast for Karsten) has been a big change and we try to get it all done the night before so we don't have chaotic mornings. Hopefully this process will stick!
