and enjoy Old Settlers. We're starting young with the next generation. :)
Karsten and Eden were excited to see each other! When we headed off to find something to eat, this is how they were walking. We didn't prompt this at all!

At the suggestion of one of my coworkers, Scott and I branched out from grange pups and tried a walking taco. They were pretty good!

It's dinnertime!

Liam was a fan of the grange pup. I was worried the grange pup would get dropped, but that didn't happen until the very end.

Who doesn't love a corn dog - fair food on a stick!

Elam opted for the ever popular hot dog.

The kids did really well sitting on the wall of the fountain. I think there was enough going on that they were distracted from the water.

Cavewoman Jenn and her turkey leg. :)

This made me a bit nervous. What do you think they were watching? Fish? Coins at the bottom? Nope - a bug swimming around in the fountain.

After everyone finished eating, we walked around to check out the booths. This booth was giving out balloons and temporary tattoos. Karsten decided he didn't want a balloon since the ones last year kept flying away and Eden was getting a temporary tattoo, so he wanted a tattoo. I asked him several times to make sure he wanted it because last time he got one he flipped out and wanted it off.

Sure enough, as soon as the lady finished putting it on, he touched it and realized that it wouldn't come off like a sticker. I was able to get him away from the table before he started yelling 'I WANT IT OFF'. Luckily, it came off quickly and the crisis was averted.

We walked around to check out the craft booths and this is how the kids walked. They alternated with either Elam or Eden holding onto the stroller with Karsten in the middle.

There was a Poison cover band playing, so we stopped to check it out. The kids had fun playing on the metal bleachers and dancing

As we walked around the booths, Eden spotted kids doing pushups with the Army Reserve. Eden wanted to do it and Jenn ran right over there with her. Karsten was befuddled (we don't bust out push-ups very often - ok EVER - at our house) and stood there the whole time. The Army guy gave Eden and Elam a cup since they each did a pushup. Karsten started to make a cry face and say 'I want a cup'. I told him to ask the Army guy if he could please have a cup. The guy told Karsten he could only have a cup if he did a pushup - Jenn showed him how and Karsten did a pushup and got a cup. Success. Perhaps we need to do some pushups at home?

After we had seen everything, we found a grassy area and the kids played tag. They had fun racing around and chasing each other.

It was a fun night. Another year of Old Settlers in the books. I posted this pic of Jenn and I on Facebook and a friend said we still look the same as we did in High School. We LOVE her for her kind words (even if they're not completely true!) :) Maybe by next Old Settlers I will find a picture of Jenn and I from Old Settlers in High School.
