After lunch, we had family pictures. Charlie was patient as we rotated in and out to have various picture combinations with him.

Uncle Charlie with the boys - what a great picture! Thanks to Peg for the picture suggestion!
Four generations - Uncle Charlie, my dad, me and the boys!
Chuck and Uncle Dave didn't really want to take individual pictures with Uncle Charlie, but I thought it would be nice for them to each have a picture with him. They'll thank me someday, right? :)
After lunch, we went up to Uncle Charlie's apartment to visit for a bit before we left. The boys were walk/running down the hallway to his apartment and Karsten thought he had made it to the apartment so he reached up and opened a door - the problem was that it wasn't Uncle Charlie's apartment. Scott quickly said 'No Karsten, shut the door, shut the door!' and Karsten ran away. Later I asked him if he saw anyone when he opened the door and he said 'a man, he looked at me'. Ha - that guy definetely wasn't expecting a little blond boy to pop into his apartment!
While we were chatting, Karsten told him that we were going back to Disney World someday and he could come with us. How sweet is he?
Finally, it was time to hit the road and head home. The boys had already had a long day and we were lucky they did great in the car and at Uncle Charlie's. Liam fell asleep in the car before we had even left Lincoln. No such luck with Karsten, he played the ipad, 'read' some books, took pictures out the window with his camera and played with his transformer dinosaur.
Scott and I have become addicted to QuikTrip iced tea since giving up Diet Dr Pepper earlier this year. We intentionally planned our gas stop on the way home so we could stop at a QT. While Scott pumped gas, I ran inside to get drinks. He said 'get the bigger ones than normal'. As I filled up the cups, I looked at them and realized I got the SUPER big glasses, not the big glasses he meant. These cups were ridiculously large and Scott burst out laughing when he saw me carrying them out to the car.

It was a fun day - we'll look forward to doing it again next year!
