Christmas Countdown - Day 16 {Decorating trees}

Rather than decorate a gingerbread house, I decided we would make a forest of Christmas trees.  I had visions of the Christmas trees being a centerpiece on the table for several days.  When I told Scott about that idea, he and Karsten decided that we should decorate the trees and then eat them.  They were tough to resist (and I realized our trees would likely NOT be masterpieces), so we went with their plan.

The makings for our forest.

Focusing on frosting his tree.  The M&M's were supposed to be for decoration, but there may have been a few eaten during the frosting process.

Liam munched on some Cheerios while he watched the mess unfold.

Giving his tree some lifelike branches.

Looks just like a tree, doesn't it?

Liquidating the broken tree pieces.

Karsten's masterpiece.

It was a bit challenging to get the sprinkles on the trees, Karsten may have gotten more on the table than on his tree.

M&M's offer the finishing touch to Scott's tree.

The finished products.  Every forest has a fallen tree, right?
