Christmas Countdown - Day 7 {Sleigh ride}

Our neighborhood scheduled a new activity this holiday season - a 'sleigh' ride.  They hired a horse drawn 'sleigh' to give rides around the neighborhood to look at lights.  We were excited when we got the flyer about it - Karsten loved the hayrides we went on when looking for pumpkins, so we knew this would be a hit.

We weren't sure how many people would attend, so we got there a few minutes before it was scheduled to leave, and we almost missed the first sleigh because it was almost full.  Luckily we were able to squeeze into the last open seats because it was super cold outside and we didn't want to wait outside for the second ride.

Our attempt at a family picture on the sleigh ride.

The horses 'nails' were painted.  Karsten though this was HILarious!

Another attempted group picture - both boys were too interested in the horse to look at my camera.

A picture of the horses and sleigh as they left for their second tour of the neighborhood.  What a fun tradition!
