Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We were trying to come up with ideas for green food for St. Patrick's Day and breakfast seemed like a good place to give it a try.  We thought about green eggs and ham, but didn't want to chance that Karsten wouldn't eat them.  He's not a picky eater, but you never know.  So, we opted for green pancakes.

Karsten thought it was funny that we were having green pancakes for breakfast.

Liam wasn't quite awake yet, so he wasn't too interested in green pancakes.

Since it was Sunday, we headed to church after breakfast.  It was a good day at church, everyone was well behaved and no one had to be taken out.

After church, I decorated the St. Patrick's day hats that we had dipped in chocolate last night.  Karsten was a big help so he got to lick the spoon.  Check out those green teeth!

The finished product - St. Pats hats and cookies with shamrock frosting.  I think I may need to practice my frosting skills, the piping on the hats is a bit shaky.

In the afternoon I headed to a Wildtree party (more about that later), and the boys took a nap.  I made it home shortly before dinner, then we had a fun evening of playing.

I love this picture of the boys - Karsten is kicked back and laughing and Liam is happily watching him.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from us to you!
